Dear Students and Parents,
Welcome to the 2020 VIRTUAL edition of ACTing Up, ACTing Up In the House! While we wish that we could all be together as we have in previous years, we are excited to share a fun, educational and interactive performing arts experience with you from our homes to yours! Please bookmark this page for easy access, as it is not available to the public via our main website. You can also reach this page again through the link in your orientation email.
This year’s camp will run a little differently, so this page will help to answer any questions you might have to get started.
The majority of your classes will be held via ZOOM video conferencing with your instructors. Links below will give each age group access to the meeting links for your class. We will also send this information to you via the email you used at registration. Please be sure that you have downloaded the ZOOM app to your phone or computer so that you may easily join us on Monday, July 6th!
The schedule for each day is as follows:
Session 1: 9:00am-9:45 am
Session 2: 9:55-10:40am
Lunch/Snack Break: 10:40-11:10 (Recharge for your final two sessions!)
Session 3: 11:10-11:55
Session 4: 12:05-12:50
Students will be divided into four classes. Each class has a dedicated page, linked below, where you will find each of your Zoom sessions and any other information or materials you might need for your daily work. These pages are password protected so that only students who have registered for class can access them. The password for all pages is: actingup2020

Technical Details
- Wear clothes you can comfortably move in, as well as sneakers, or jazz shoes and socks. Avoid wearing open-toe shoes for any movement based activities.
- For dance or movement based classes, a hard floor is ideal. Carpet can work — just make sure you feel safe moving on the surface you are using.
- Make sure you have enough SPACE around you to move comfortably. You want to feel as free and unencumbered in the space as possible. Do what you can to create a “studio” atmosphere at home. Consider what furniture can be pushed aside to give you the best possible active working space. Put thought into this in advance and get creative!
- If you can set the laptop on a counter, table, desk or surface at waist-level or higher, that would be ideal. It can be done on the floor if needed, but is not ideal for being able to see you in all classes. Again, get creative with where your computer can be to allow you to see and be seen!
- If you have injuries or physical limitations, please let us know in advance via the Chat feature (again, please show up early to do so!).
- Any necessary links, scripts, music or materials will be shared with you via your individual class links, and will be updated throughout the camp.
